Mother’s Day is celebrated in many countries to honour and celebrate mothers and motherhood in many. It is generally celebrated in May, though some countries celebrate it during other months.
Mother’s Day celebration seems to have it roots from North America and Europe. Mother’s Day and many other celebrated days have become highly commercialized.
I’m not quite a proponent of celebrating special days as such – I’m more for doing things spontaneously. For example, if you want to bring your mom flowers or a gift, why wait until Mother’s Day.
Don’t be pressed into celebrating a specific day just because the majority of the world does so...do it because you want to, out of love!
